abstract = "Air pollution is still a problem in many countries around the
world. The last report of air quality coming from world health
organization (WHO) inform that too many cities in Brazil still
have their parameters of air pollution above the WHO criteria.
This paper talks about air pollution and, more specifically,
describes how the pollutants are distributing near the emission
source before their totally dispersion into air. The reader can
find a presentation in a small scale of an atmospheric dispersion
model, therefore, it will be used for the Gaussian air pollutant
dispersion equation with a diesel generator as an emission source,
located on the Campus Samambaia of the Federal University of
Goi{\'a}s. Just for the explanation of the methodology, there
will be use of NOx for pollutant emission rate and its dispersion.
In addition, explanations about how to calculate emissions rates
and which are the variables that needs to apply the Gaussian
dispersion model like the wind data pre-process. The results are
maps on how it represents different atmospheric conditions and the
dispersion of the pollutants from the emission source. The graphic
presentations are legible to identify who or where will be
affected by the pollutants of the emission source, as well as what
is the magnitude of these effects.",
